A collection of field recordings gathered on location for the short film 'In the Shadow of the Mountain' by Neith Sentís Vizcaino (www.facebook.com/mortfilm). Màlpas is a small farming village located in the Lleida province of the Catalan Pyrenees mountains, 1090m above sea level and with a population of just 56.
The recordings were captured inbetween the shooting of the film, mainly at dawn and late into the night, from the 22nd to the 30th of October 2014.

Màlpas is a unique location with a hot Mediterranean climate. The experience of living and filming in this crumbling village for 10 days was humbling - and I hope these recordings will carry the essence of this adventure to a greater audience.
